Brunch & Learn - Social Media: Learn to Grow Your Business the Digital Way

Understand the significance of a Social Media strategy as part of your company’s marketing plan, the different platforms available and how best to use them. The CEU is presented by Monogram using GE Appliances to teach Designers the ins and outs of Social Media. 

Chef Jon from GE Monogram Design Center in Chicago will join their host, Beth Hoffman to create a breakfast smoothie with a brunch twist. The recipes will be provided two weeks out so that anyone who wants to cook along can.  Chef Jon will talk about his experiences with posting on-line, and what he has learned by participating in multiple events like Instagram take overs.

Beth Hoffman is the Senior Area Sales Manager for GE Monogram where she drives Monogram sales for a territory comprised of independent dealer and regional accounts across the Midwest Region.  Beth attended Northern Illinois University where she achieved her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising with minors in Art History and Business Management.  After graduation, Beth pursued a career in store management and worked her way up to Regional Store Manager, which provided her with insight into sales, logistics, operations, finance, and marketing. In 1997, she transferred into a wholesale position with Ralph Lauren where she worked for 19 years becoming the Regional Sales Director managing a team of nine Brand Managers. Working with national retailers, Beth managed corporate relationships, sold multiple product lines and created strong merchandising strategies by retailer.   Beth moved into the appliance industry in 2016 where she worked as a Territory Manager for Miele before joining the GE Monogram team in October 2019.  Beth loves to cook for family and friends as well as long walks with her husband and beloved dog, Islay.

Chef Jon Liddell is the Executive Chef at the GE Monogram Design Center in Chicago, where he manages the live kitchens, leads product demonstrations and provides all the catering for the many events held in the showroom. Jon studied culinary arts at Grand Rapids Community College and, upon graduating, relocated to the U.S. Virgin Islands where he cooked professionally for six years. While in the USVI, he opened his own catering company, Modern Sauté, and a restaurant at the St. Thomas Yacht Club. Jon relocated to Chicago in 2009 and served as a sous chef in the SubZero/Wolf showroom at the Merchandise Mart before joining the GE Monogram team in April 2013. His culinary range is wide and includes Caribbean, Italian and seafood cooking. Most recently, Jon has been developing different southern smoking and barbecue techniques.
