Bonnie Folkerts is both an interior designer and an artist. She was born and raised in the “Driftless Area” of SW Wisconsin, and the land has always played an important role in her work. Surrounded by the Mississippi River and bluffs. Nature was an integral part of daily life – both in where she spent much of her free time and incorporating it into the spaces where she lived.

She graduated with BS in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. Her career path took her from furniture buying at Dayton’s to many years in showroom management at International Market Square, most recently 12+ years with Kravet / Lee Jofa / Brunschweig & Fils. There has always been time in her life to work with a limited number of clients on residential projects. Here she guides her clients in creating interiors that truly reflect their lifestyles, passions and individual aesthetics.

Bonnie currently divides her work time between design projects and a studio at the Casket Arts Building in Northeast Minneapolis. The studio provides Gallery space for her Nature-inspired acrylics and watercolors.

She adores spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family, as well as, gardening, traveling and cooking for family and friends.
